Cream Tuna (Edit)

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp butter

  • 3 Tbsp flour

  • salt & pepper

  • 3 cup milk

  • 3-5 cans of tuna, well drained

Directions

  • Melt butter in saucepan then add flour and cook until thick and bubbly.

  • Remove from heat.

  • Initially, add the milk slowly, constantly whisking so you can incorporate the flour & butter into the milk really well. (If you just add the milk straight to the flour + butter, then it will take longer for the more dense mixture to incorporate with the milk.) Once the mixture has enough moisture where you can add the rest of the milk without it being a separate substance, add the rest of the milk.

  • Add salt and pepper (½ tsp salt ¼ tsp pepper)

  • Stir constantly until thickened (about the consistency of gravy.)

  • Stir in tuna and continue cooking until heated through.

  • Serve warm over buttered toast.
