Ramsey’s Cinnamon Rolls (Edit)
Components
Ingredients
4 ½ c. flour
1 tsp salt
½ c. sugar
⅓ c. butter (barely melted)
2 large eggs
2 ½ tsp instant yeast
1 c. warm milk
½ c. softened butter
1 c. brown sugar
½ tsp. salt
Directions
Put milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let yeast rise until frothy. (make sure the milk isn’t so hot that it will kill the yeast cultures)
Add eggs and butter and mix until combined.
Add in salt (1 tsp) and 4 cups of the flour. The last ½ cup is to adjust based on how dry/wet the mixture is at that point.
When it comes together you are going to want to them knead it for about five minutes until nice and smooth.
Let it rise for at least 30 min somewhere warm.
Roll it out, slather on the filling, roll it up and cut. Let them rest again.
Pour heavy cream over the rolls (my secret) Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes.
For a drizzle on top, you can take some heavy cream, add a little vanilla and some powdered sugar until you get the consistency you like and then drizzle on top.
